Yes — you’ll probably feel it. But the part you feel is REALLY quick. Most kids describe it as a quick pinch, a sharp little poke, or a fast sting. And then that part is already over.
Your ears might feel warm, tingly or a little sore afterward. That is different from the quick piercing feeling itself.

If you’ve had one of those before, then you already know what a quick needle feeling can be like. We sometimes talk about these examples with kids because they are feelings that lots of kids already understand.
A lot of kids tell us their ear piercing was QUICKER and EASIER than they expected. Many kids even tell us it felt easier than shots, blood tests or freezing at the dentist.
But everyone feels things differently, so we will never promise that every person feels exactly the same thing.

THE PIERCING AND YOUR EARRING
This is the quick part. You might feel: a quick pinch, a little sharp poke, or a fast sting. Your earring goes in as part of it — done as quick as you even feel it.
